VIDEO: Man Bearing ‘No Protest’ Placard Accidentally Supports Protest, Says ‘Garri Now N1,000’

The video of a counter-protester carrying a ‘No Protest’ placard but complaining of hunger has emerged on the internet.

The man, who by virtue of the placard he carried, was against the ongoing protest against bad governance and hunger made the comments on Thursday at a protest ground in Abuja. However, he accidentally spoke in favour of protests.

“To drink garri now, N1,000 will not take care of drinking garri,” the counter-protester said in the video.

“Wey be say before before N100 you will drink garri and do wetin you wan do.

“So now, we are coming to make him [referring to President Bola Tinubu] know things are very hard with us. Let him consider us.”

Sensing the error, the counter-protester was then made to discontinue the interview by fellow colleagues who carried similar placards. His colleagues also chided him for not making comments that were in line with their position against the ongoing protests.
