Vershima Mker, an Abuja resident, has been brutalised by Major General G.S. Muhammed and Corporal A. Abubakar of the Nigerian Army on Gwarinpa Road in the country’s capital.
A video clip of the scene where Muhammed and his subordinates descended on Mker while he was belted to his car seat emerged on X on Tuesday.
In the video separately posted by Sahara Reporters and Arise TV journalist Rufai Oseni, the man repeatedly asks, “How did I pass your car?”

A few seconds later, Mker was hit with an object and shouted “Oh God” while Lami Jennifer Iorvihi, his partner who was sitting beside him in the car, exclaimed “Jesus!”
But that did deter these officers of the Nigerian Army. They continued hitting him in his belly and other parts of his body.
Mker eventually unbelted himself and stood up to the soldiers. He followed them to their black jeep parked some metres away from his car by the roadside.
There, one of the soldiers landed a slap on Mker’s face.
When one of the soldiers discovered that Iorvihi was filming the scene, he ran towards her, shouting, “Bring the phone! Bring the phone!”
DEMAND FOR COMPENSATION
In a November 11 demand letter addressed to the Chief of Army Staff Olufemi Oluyede, Tom Uja & Co, a law firm, demanded the sack of the officers and a N150 million compensation for Mker and Iorvihi.
