“We are going to last 10 days, thank you very much,” one protester said. Other protesters echoed him.

Those on the protest trail told EQ that the cost of doing business had become too high.
According to tricycle drivers, a tricycle has become as expensive as a car.
“Keke Maruwa (tricycles) used to be N300,000 or N500,000 before. If you want to buy the same tricycle today, you will pay N5 million,” a tricycle driver told journalists in the Mokola area of Ibadan.
“The tricycle I’m currently using cost me N5 million in installments. This was a vehicle I once bought at N300,000 or N350,000. They (Nigerian leaders) want to lead us to ruin.
“If you want to buy this tricycle and pay for it at once, they ask for N3.6 million. In 2013, it was N300,000 we paid for a new tricycle.”

Nigerians have decided to protest between August 1 and August 10 against economic hardship and bad governance.
