The finalists were picked by a judging panel chaired by Stella Din-Jacob, Editor-in-Chief and News Director of TVC News.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony scheduled for December 9, at the AGIP Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Lagos.
Ojukwu is no stranger to excellence. In June, he was shortlisted for the Business and Companies category of the 2023 Sanlam Group Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism.
His investigative report, Corporate ‘Delulu’: Companies Hide Lawsuits From Investors, Violate IFRS — And Regulators Turn Blind Eye, exposed corporate malpractice in Nigeria.
The Wole Soyinka Award, now in its 19th year, “encourages best practices in journalism works from the print, radio, television, photo, online, editorial cartoon broad categories as well as from other special categories which focus on themes ranging from regulatory failures, corruption in the public and corporate spheres, and human rights abuses”.
