BREAKING: Police Pick PIDOM for Arraignment in Court

The National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has gone to pick up Isaac Bristol, whom they claim to be PIDOM, from his cell for arraignment in court.

Justice Emeka Nwite, the same judge who remanded 10 #EndBadGovernance protesters in prison on Monday, is presiding over PIDOM’s matter on Tuesday.

EQ learnt that as of 8:02 am on Tuesday, Bristol was getting ready to join the police officers, who had come to the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID) to pick him up from the cell.

From the FCID, he would be conveyed to the court for arraignment over nine allegations as released by EQ on Monday night.

A court file obtained by EQ on Monday reveals that PIDOM was charged to the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Some of the charges against him include mobilising and soliciting support to “unduly compel” the government to act or abstain from certain acts through the #EndBadGovernance protest, false money-laundering allegations against President Bola Tinubu, and unlawfully obtaining, retaining and disseminating classified secret documents in contravention of the official Secret Act 1962.

He is facing money laundering additional allegations, as the police claimed that the funds he obtained were derived from unlawful activities.

The ninth charge on the court document accused PIDOM of tampering with evidence by destroying his Techno Phantom X phone and attempting to flush it down the water system of the hotel, where he was arrested.

Meanwhile, as of 9:00 am, EQ gathered that Justice Nwite was not yet in court.
