Adichie Ezenwa, a Nigerian living in Canada, wanted to reschedule his flight from December 21, 2023, to January 2, 2024, but Aero Contractors told him there was no flight for that date. The airline ticket company made Ezenwa fill out a refund slip, but that was the last he heard from them.
Ezenwa told EQ in September that he booked a flight worth N101,000 from Lagos to Asaba for a family meeting scheduled to be held on December 21. The meeting was rescheduled to January 2 and the shift automatically changed his flight date.
Ezenwa informed Aero Contractors about his desire to reschedule for a later date, but Aero told him they had no flight for his intended date.
“I tried to reschedule my flight from December 21, 2023, to January 2, 2024, but they said they had no flight for January 1. They told me I could either apply for a refund or use the ticket for another date, but I decided to apply for a refund,” Ezenwa said.

Refund Request Slip Aero Contractor Handed To Ezenwa
Ezenwa told EQ that he opted for a refund since the airline could no longer take him on his journey at his intended date. They gave him a refund document to fill out for his refund to be initiated.

The refund request slip the airline handed to Ezenwa at the airport made him believe the refund process would be seamless, but the prolonged delay he encountered changed his mind. His earlier assumption was wrong.
“I have been waiting for them for more than 10 months,” Ezenwa said in September.
“I do not know that Aero Contractor is a dishonest airline.”
Ezenwa told EQ he had also followed up with numerous emails, but the only consistent response he got was a deafening silence.
EQ also sent an email to Aero Contractors on Wednesday but they failed to respond at press time.
In March, EQ also reported how Aero Contractor received N81,760 twice for one flight ticket but failed to refund the customer.
